FAQ
If you have a question that is not answered below, please feel free to contact us
How Do I Buy Tickets?
How about 9 am Friday Early Admission Tickets to be first to see and shop the festival?
How do I get to the Orchid Festival?
The Redland International Orchid Festival (October 17-19, 2025) will be held at the Fruit and Spice Park, a lovely 37 acre park in the heart of the Redland located at 24801 SW 187th Ave, Homestead, FL 33031.
Wait, it’s in this beautiful park? Do I have to buy admission to the park too?
Nope! Park admission is included with your ticket price!
Is there a map of the event? How about a list of vendors?
Yes, and the map and vendor list can be downloaded from the Vendors page. The map can be displayed on a mobile device or tablet, or printed. Please download and print or save the map!
How much does it cost to attend?
General admission tickets are $20. Buy your tickets now to save with the discount code in the banner. The best discounts are always earliest, discounts get smaller as the show grows closer. Cash only at the door. Children under 12 are free. Parking is $5, cash only, but there is some free parking along the street.
If I order tickets in advance, how do I receive them?
You will receive your ticket by email. Look for an email from Universe/Redland International Orchid Festival. If you do not receive an email soon after purchase, check your junk/spam folder. You must print or display your ticket on your phone at the gate. Yahoo and AOL accounts appear to be particularly susceptible to false positive spam messages. Please check your spam folders. Please search for “universe” in your email. If you use Gmail look in your promotions tab and search for “universe”.
What else should I bring?
Bringing cash is highly recommended as many growers are foreign and do not accept credit cards. You will also need $5 cash to park. If you did not buy your tickets in advance you will need cash at the door as well. ATMs are available, but they charge fees and may be limited in how much cash they dispense per transaction.
I am volunteering. How do I get in?
Volunteers will have e-tickets mailed to them in advance and redeem them at the front gate.
I decided not to come. Can I get a refund?
You can email info@redlandorchidfestival.com up to seven days before the event for a refund. Thereafter, we cannot issue refunds but will, upon request, give tickets to a future Redland International Orchid Festival or to the Rare Plant Festival in October.
Why should I buy my tickets in advance?
Easy! No standing in line. And you can pay by credit card. Ticket purchases are cash only at the door.
Is there parking? How much?
There is a ton of parking and it is just $5 for the entire day, benefitting a local troop of the Boy Scouts of America.
How much are the classes?
Any classes are free, however no class schedule is set at the moment.
Is the Redland International Orchid Festival indoors or outdoors?
The Redland International Orchid Festival will be outside in the beautiful Fruit and Spice Park.
What is the Redland International Orchid Festival?
The Redland International Orchid Festival is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious orchid events in the country. Along with its sister orchid festival, the Tamiami International Orchid Festival, it is a destination event for orchid lovers from all over the world. Scores of growers and other vendors from around the world display and sell amazing orchids and orchid related products.
Who should come to the Orchid Festival?
Anyone interested in seeing rare orchids, buying beautiful yet affordable orchids, or who is just interested in a nice family excursion or laid back date at the relaxing Fruit and Spice Park to admire orchids.
What can I do at the Orchid Festival?
Check out the beautiful orchids, shop the widest selection of affordable and rare orchids available anywhere, and enjoy food and drink. Watch classes in advance of the festival on Zoom, and participate in complimentary raffles for over a hundred beautiful orchid plants and other prizes. E-ticket buyers are automatically entered in the main raffle and bonus raffles. Attendees who buy tickets at the door will have the opportunity to fill out a raffle ticket and participate in the big raffles at the end of the show. No purchase is necessary. For a free entry, please send a request with your contact information on a 3×5 inch card to Redland Professional Orchid Growers, Inc. 25000 S.W. 162 Ave, Homestead, FL 33031
I’m coming from out of town. Where can I stay?
The Best Western at 8560 SW 124th Avenue Kendall, FL 33183-4600 is offering an excellent rate. You can book online by clicking here (you may need to update the page with your dates to see the discounted rate) or call 305-271-4848 and ask for the “Orchid Show” rate. The Best Western also is running a shuttle to the Festival in the morning and evening. Inquire with the front desk for the times. If you are a hotel operator interested in partnering with the orchid festival, please contact us through the contact form or write to us at info@redlandorchidfestival.com
Great. How do I get around? And what is there to see in Miami?
Unfortunately, Miami still does not have good public transportation and is a vast, sprawling city. We recommend Lyft. Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden is a great destination for plant lovers. Of course, Miami Beach is the destination for many out of towners, but natives often get their nightlife and eats in Coral Gables, Wynwood, and South Miami. Miami has become a world class city and visitors have many options.
I’m coming from out of town. How can I ship my plants?
There are various shipping options located nearby.
I want to take plants to another country. Will USDA be on site to provide CITES documents?
USDA will be onsite on Saturday afternoon ONLY to issue CITES. CITES documents will be available from Motes Orchids. Email in advance to reserve your CITES.
I grow orchids commercially. How can I display and sell my plants at the Festival? I have an orchid related product. How can I participate?
The Committee accepts applications to the Orchid Festival year round through the Contact page.
My business has nothing to do with orchids, but I would like to partner with the Orchid Festival. How do I contact you?
The Orchid Festival partners with local and national businesses that recognize the value in having their brand associated with beautiful, exotic plants. Send your proposal to the Orchid Festival through the Contact page.
I love animals. Can I bring them to the Festival?
No. We love animals too, but the venue only allows service animals.
What about food at the Orchid Festival?
There will be multiple outstanding food options at the Festival (see food vendors list above)! Come for your yum!
I want to volunteer at the Orchid Festival. How do I do that?
Thanks! Volunteers get free admission the entire weekend and a free gift. Send an email via the Contact page.
Is the Orchid Festival handicapped accessible?
Absolutely! There is handicapped parking at the front entrance–handicapped attendees should not park at the back entrance as there is no handicapped access there, but the park itself is completely wheelchair friendly and ADA compliant. Come and enjoy. We do not have scooter or wheelchair rentals on site, sorry.
I ordered tickets in advance but I can’t find them in my email! What can I do?
If you completed a ticket purchase, tickets were emailed to you from Universe with a subject line referencing the Redland International Orchid Festival. Please check your junk mail and spam. If you cannot find the tickets, email info@redlandorchidfestival.com and we will try to help. But, you can also give your email address at the door as a last resort. (This is a more time consuming process so please bring your tickets if you have them. Thanks.)
